i’m starting to get REALLY sad that this is all going to be over in a few weeks.

  2. Jenn comments:

I immediately thought Jack was dead. But, Mario reminded me that Claire said earlier that as soon “as soon as you let him talk to you” you were on his side.

can someone make a chart for me — who is dead and who is not?

  4. adrian comments:

yep, desmond’s the one. he has to round everyone up in the alternate timeline and take them all to the island or something.

nice snarky scene between sawyer and kate in the alt-world. loved sawyer’s remark about lapidus looking like he “just stepped out of a burt reynolds movie”.

so. sun gets amnesia from running into a tree, and she gets it back when she sees jin? someone hand me a bucket, I’m gonna barf.

I was SO SURE they were going to die when they ran toward each other on the beach and the sonic fence was right there…

I shared your JACK IS GOING TO FIX LOCKE squeee.

I don’t think jack is dead; he never really seemed completely gone, just out of it.

oh yeah, I’m pretty sure I was loudly-whispering (because there were to kiddos sleeping upstairs)

“THE FENCE THE FENCE THE FENCE THE FENCE”

and my heart stopped for a second.

And then they were fine and I shed a tear.

    Blood pressure meds, anyone?

I did the EXACT same thing with the fence….and then cried for them!!

Sayid did not kill Desmond….I’m sure of it.

    Loved the Burt Reynolds remark!!

Thought for a second that Claire was going to kill Kate…

I get all emotional with the Kate, Sawyer, Jack love circle….I can’t figure out who I want her to end up with.

So, I read this comment on the Popcandy blog: maybe the whole point of Sun’s lame-o not talking storyline is so that she can kill the Lockemonster. Claire said as soon as you talk to him, you are on his side and Sun never talked to him because of the bump on her head amnesia.

I thought this was good, but now that I’m thinking about it, she did talk to him, before the bump. Ugh. I guess it really was just a lame-o storyline.

    So, I think –

    Sayid – zombie
    Claire – zombie
Christian Shepherd on the island – possessed by MIB
Ana Lucia on the island – possessed by MIB
Yemmi on the island – possessed by MIB

Michael on the island – stuck in the middle, appearing to Hurley but not MIB?

Did the smoke monster kill the Eko because he looked into his soul and realized he wouldn’t be able to convince him of anything? Or, more likely, did the smoke monster kill Eko because Adewale wanted out of his contract?

I think “as soon as you talk to him” really means “as soon as you let him talk to you”, and I don’t think it’s supernatural. rather, like satan, he’s very persuasive, and if you hesitate long enough for him to talk to you, it’s a safe bet he’s going to sway you.

OOH. I just looked at eko’s lostpedia page and it says that his last words were “I saw the devil”. jenn, I think you’re right–smokey killed eko because eko knew exactly who he was.

  9. adrian comments:

wait. WAIT. why can the devil turn into smoke and throw people around the room and make trees leap out of the ground? in the bible, I don’t recall satan ever using physical violence–that was god’s thing. satan always played on people’s fears and desires and persuaded them to do things.

    could we have them reversed?

I loved Sawyer’s lines on this one…we had many a good chuckles like when he told Claire that she looked good. And Sawyer tripping Sayid with a hose in sideways world…that made me laugh.

I also thought Jin and Sun were going to be fenced. I liked this episode except for the Sun amnesia…AND when Sun and Jin were reunited, wouldn’t they have spoken to each other in Korean? And if Jin was speaking English wouldn’t have Sun been suprised?

I think that Jack is on the right track…NOT leaving the island. He’s not dead, but he will join up with Desmond to save all of humankind by keeping the devil on the island.

    will watch tonight.

Jenn what about Walt? Did he just appear on-island because “he’s special”?

And remember the smoke monster only killed Eko the SECOND time he looked into his soul (or whatever).

I still think t.s.m. looked at all of Eko’s transgressions (where you can put that scene in slow motion and see flashes from his life), offered a chance to repent, and Eko didn’t take it so he died.

    That’s not very satan-ish.

  13. Emily comments:

Also, I’m not totally convinced that Sayid is 100% zombie because I’m not totally convinced he actually killed Desmond, which means he still had a moral choice.

  14. jmi comments:

    thanks for the chart, jenn!

i agree about eko. oh and i still miss him.

  15. Jenn comments:

There is a real possibility that UnLocke is the good guy.

But, then there was the baptism scene with Jacob and Richard…

Ugh. Mario thinks that Jacob and MIB are two sides of the same person.
