    I don’t think he’s dead. he’s going to have to coordinate something in both timelines. whatever thing they have to do to put it all right. it’s gotta happen in both worlds and he’s the one who has to make it happen.

    desmond’s really handsome, isn’t he? I kinda just noticed that.

    why did bizarro desmond run over locke?! was it to make him a paraplegic?

    didn’t fakelocke say “god only knows” several times in this episode?

    I think libby was “crazy” in the original timeline because she had memories of the alternate one too. and, just like she and hurley were fated to fall in love with each other, I wonder if she’s going to have to die in the alternate world.

    if there’s one thing I’ve learned from lost, it’s “NEVER TOUCH THE DYNAMITE”.

    awesome episode.

    desmond was in the shots for the next episode…it just looked like he was looking up from the bottom of the well. so, i don’t think he’s dead.

    I hate the new Sayid…makes me sad and miss the old one.

    The song they play with Willy Wonka singing is amazing and very fitting/chilling.

    And one more thing….I definitely thought that well was a lot deeper than they show in the preview with Desmond laying in it….was it not?

    Is this the same well we’ve seen before where Locke jumped in to move the island? Ben did too I think.

    Michelle – that preview gave me goosebumps! Thanks for posting the link. And welcome :) I remember lots of comment threads that got pretty in depth in the past, but this season I feel like all I can say is “aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!” all the time, which is not very articulate :)

    I wondered the same thing about the well.

    I was thinking about Sayid the other day, and how I haven’t really (fictionally) mourned his death yet, which is weird.

    Janet – your recent standard of how to explain how much you love something cracks me up.

    Last week Desmond said “I just want to show them something.”

    Hitting Locke – is this the way he’s going to show him something?

    That he can’t die?

    That he’ll shift back to his other life?

    Did you notice what was written on the notepad, which I’m assuming is written by Sun? I think it said: “You did THIS to me” Creepy.

    And I hear you on the not mourning Sayid’s death… but really, I haven’t on Locke’s either. I miss them both.

    I would LOVE if he shifted back to his other life (if that means he would take over his body again)

    I think ahhhhh sums it up really well, haha.

    Thought I’d show off my Russian knowledge and point out that the book that Ilana was reading – that Hurley picked up just after she went BOOM – was Dostoevsky’s Notes from Underground.

    I have read every single one of your Lost threads now, and this is the first time I’m commenting! Look at that, I watched the entirety of Lost in about a month.
