Ok, the way Dan deduced that he’d set off a bomb in another life – that was dumb.

  2. adrian comments:

yeah, that deduction stank of “the plot requires this character to think of something he wouldn’t have thought of”. but otherwise, it was a really good one.

mario, didn’t you used to say that desmond is the key? I think you are absolutely right. he’s going to be the one who brings the two timelines together. when he had that flash of charlie’s hand, that was…exciting.

mrs. hawking/widmore clearly knows (and has always known) about the alternate timeline possibilities, and is the one guarding the “rules” of them, whatever those rules might be. fate, probably.

when charles offered desmond the scotch and said “nothing’s too good for you”…shivers. this show could really just be about desmond; he’s the best. and he and penny are still the most heartwarming thing on the show.

hey, wasn’t there some box that can make whatever you want? what happened to that?

    loved loved loved it.

Papafrate also said that Desmond will be the key. This was back in 2005. Smarties.

i thought that the limo driver was going to kill him!!! did anyone else think that??

    haha, “papafrate”.

I felt very wary of george, too. haven’t we seen him before? I can’t place him, but he seems familiar.

…I just checked lostpedia and said that was his only episode, but still…

and I just discovered that penny’s last name is milton!

heh. if mrs. hawking were a world of warcraft NPC, she’d be a bronze dragon in human form.

That guy was totally in an episode!! I can’t place it right now but he was DEFINITELY in an episode.

  7. Emily comments:

I totally thought he was going to shoot Desmond in the limo & so did Mikey!

He was the doctor/scientist – I forget his name – who died on the freighter from too much time-hopping.

    I watched it twice.

Most interesting comment – Hawking’s “in fact, it’s a violation.”

Dan’s leap to nuclear bomb/alternate world is so stupid it makes me a little sick and I just have to pretend it didn’t happen so I can really like this episode and feel like the season is finally getting somewhere.

yes jenn absolutely– that makes me sad for lost, for dan, for me as a viewer. pretending it didn’t happen!!
