I remember asking those same questions to my husband in the context of, "Why did we do this whole attachment parenting thing again?" Fast forward and my son sleeps in his OWN bed in his OWN room now. Can you imagine? Totally his idea too, we didn't even suggest it. He wanted his own bed (in our room) and then just recently he asked for it to be moved into his own room. My reaction was, "Um, are you sure?" LOL, I wasn't ready! Yay!
