em,
this reminded me of the january and february (1994?, I think) when we had like 2 weeks without power, a total of what, 5 days of school? Patrick was about 3, Hannah was an infant, and although we didn't have as much technology around us then, time went slower...and we played games together and painted and built forts in the only room that was warm...and much more. It was one of the best winter snow storms I can ever remember. Most people, especially those out here, think I am completely crazy when I share this story with them. xoxo

we had no power too! until about 4 yesterday, and no phone. and no internet. i was kinda nice, but really stinkin' cold (no wood stove) we used our oven to heat the kitchen and hung out there (the gas was on!) i mended some of pj's pants that i have been putting off for 2 months b/c of other projects and we made a ton of valentines. nice, isn't it? although my hot shower today and unlimited amounts of water to drink are really nice.
