What a long, strange week it has been
February 26th, 2010BUT:
- Hazel put two words together for the first time: “bite dog!” (as in… “I just gave a bite to the dog!”… after tossing Earl a morsel of her supper.)
- I got pie-crust making lessons from my Grandma. There are things you cannot learn from a recipe – I don’t know why I’m 27 and have never learned how to make a proper pie crust.
- My mom got me the skirt!!!!!!!!!! Which I had just been oogling… again… a few days ago. She loves me, oh yes she does.
- Stopped by JoAnn’s to get applique stuff and Target for a pack of tshirts so I can finish Hazel’s summer pajama sets and move on to something else. I gave up looking for plain tshirts at Gabe’s and goodwill – just bought a pack of onesies. Should I cut them off and hem them? I don’t know.
- Almost all of Hazel’s old sundresses now fit as babydoll tops – her extreme degree of Itty Bitty is such a money saver. Seriously, this kid still fits in 3 month dresses. She has only outgrown dresses labeled “newborn” because they don’t fit over her head.
- Also purchased a Target: a box of sidewalk chalk for her easter basket, which gave me hope for spring (and we won’t have to descend seventeen floors to use it!! These things keep dawning on me.)
I know there were other things. I can’t think.
It’s snowing again. Come on now – really? Really??

Oh, I’ve always fawned over those skirts. What is it like in person? I had to hide my eyes from your previous post as I have yet to catch up…probably will, oh who knows when on DVD very late at night when the littles are sleeping.

It’s wonderful! Well constructed, the fit is great and it’s super comfy, and the print job is flawless. I’d love to save my pennies to buy another of hers… they’re all beautiful!
