RW - definitely almost cried, too. "Events that happen to them still happen, but it just happens differently?" .......maybe so. I've wondered that throughout this show.

RD - she did indeed. In THAT life. Seems like their past and present are both totally different in this sideways storyline. It's boggling my mind. It seems that since Jacob was on the island long before the hatch was built and was recruiting them before that time, too (some of them), Juliet blowing up the bomb should not have affected his "recruitment" plans since he was in their lives before the hatch was even built... so maybe in this new sideways timeline, they are on another path in life that will get them to the island another way, since there is no hatch to crash their plane.

Richard Alpert was there when Locke was born, remember...

Agreed---blond boy definitely Jacob.

I hope Sawyer saves them all!!

I LOVE 'I'm the luckiest person alive' Hurley....but i've always loved Hurley.

I somehow almost cried when Ben said that Locke was a better man than he ever will be.

Good question about Locke ending up in the wheelchair. Destiny? And for Hurley winning the lottery. Destiny? Nothing changes your destiny? Jacob was playing with their destiny? I'm stuck on this somehow...Events that happen to them still happen, but it just happens differently?

I really want some questions answered NOW!!

Frank's line - almost my blog title :) Loved it!

I'm really wondering if Jacob wanted a replacement in line because he knew Blackie would eventually get him, or if there is another reason.

The Richard thing was really sad. For some reason this episode reminded me of his encounters with younger versions of Locke, which I'd forgotten happened. I wonder why Jacob sent him to see babyLocke so many times but not the others.

Rose was awesome! She always is :)

Wasn't it weird to see Locke being kissed -- passionately!

How about Frank's line: "This is the wierdest funeral I've ever been to"

Hurley is way better off in sideways land. Driving a damn Hummer. The big reveal of this episode -- that Jacob hand-picked them all -- is something we all figured out for ourselves. I guess the biggest reveal is that he was searching for a protector of the Island, or a replacement. Clint hopes Sawyer is the one that saves them all from Man in Black. That would be pretty awesome, but I think Sawyer is about to be overcome by Blackie. Poor Richard. What a wierd scene where he tried to convince Sawyer. Richard seemed so vulnerable. They don't have long to wrap it up. Come on writers!
